2015 Baker Gordon Symposium: A Focus on Surgical Innovation

Dr. Luis Da Cruz discussing how The Triple Tool worksIn case you didn’t make it to Miami earlier this month, Marina Medical introduced several ingenious surgical instruments in plastic surgery at the Baker Gordon Symposium.  Three of the top surgeons in their respective fields recently collaborated and developed new tools with the Marina Medical team:  Dr. Luis Da Cruz,  Dr. Constantino Mendieta and Dr. Alfredo Hoyos.

During the show, Dr. Luis Da Cruz gave several presentations and answered questions about The Triple Tool.  This ground breaking tool is a 3-in-1 instrument for gluteal augmentation.  Doctors were able to examine the Triple Tool in person. They commented on how its shape, size and weight would simplify certain gluteal augmentation procedures. View our product page for more details and a video demonstration.

Dr. Constantino Mendieta, known around the world for his work in breast and gluteal augmentation worked with the Koume Team to develop The Mendieta Set of Spoon Tip Injectors.  These cannulas for breast and glutes feature atraumatic tips for efficient and precise injection.  The curved design follows the natural curves of the patient and the small size is perfect for placing small amounts of fat into the breast.  The injection set for glutes also features a patented locking mechanism that keep the cannula from separation with the Toomey syringe.  Download the flyer for more details.

Dr. Alfredo E. Hoyos worked with our team to develop the Hoyos Retractor Set to facilitate dynamic definition and create athletic definition and contour in mini-abdominoplasty combined with multilayer liposculpture, fat grafting and muscular plication.  Watch the video on our product page for more details on the Hoyos Retractor.

Marina Medical Instruments and Koume Lipoplasty Products are excited by the positive response to these new tools which support innovative techniques and minimally invasive surgery.  Marina Medical continues in its mission to provide doctors with leading edge surgical instruments and support the education and mentoring that happens at live events.  Stop by our booths at our upcoming shows and speak with one of our representatives about the newest trends in surgery.
